The Ronald T. Smith Family Scholarship Fund

Specialty co-founder, Judy Smith, established the Ronald T. Smith Family Scholarship Fund in coordination with the Grand Rapids Community Foundation in memory of Ron.  Each year, a $2000 scholarship will be given out to a qualified applicant.  This scholarship is to honor Specialty co-founder Ron Smith for his work ethic, integrity, and drive to accomplish his vision.  The scholarship is intended to go to students that demonstrate these same qualities.  Preference will be given to applicants that demonstrate these qualities and are a spouse/domestic partner or child of an employee of Specialty Heat Treating at any facility.

The scholarship is designed to assist full or part time students with the undergraduate and/or graduate level studies at any accredited college, university, or trade school located within the United States.

Specialty Heat Treating Employee Matching Charitable Gift Program

The purpose of this program is to help build strong, mutually Respectful Rela-tionships in our communities. The intent is to focus on local groups (or local chap-ters of national organizations) and to in-volve employees in determining which group(s) to support.
