On 9/5/2006, we accepted delivery of a “drop-bottom” furnace designed for the heating and water quenching of aluminum components. This is a significant step in the Company’s research and development project to add solution treatment and aging of aluminum alloys to its list of offered processes. This R&D project began in 2004 and involves extensive research in the processing of aluminum components for aerospace and military applications. The process is used extensively in other industries including automotive, heavy equipment and the manufacture of recreational vehicles.
