Induction Heat Treating Services

Electromagnetic induction is a selective surface-hardening process utilizing quick heating to critical temperature followed by immediate spray or immersion quenching. Slower air cooling permits selective annealing and tempering. Our microprocessor controlled induction equipment, combined with unique coil and fixture designs, provides statistically stable processing customized for each specific application. Induction hardening results in a highly wear-resistant surface with good contact load and fatigue strength characteristics. These and other benefits of induction processing are well suited to manufacturers of steel parts such as gears, drive shafts, bearings and valves.
