Vacuum processing preserves surface chemistry, preventing oxidation and decarburization. Our facilities utilize a variety of single and multi-chamber vacuum furnaces with gas and/or oil quench capabilities. Microprocessors control and monitor "recipe" cycles to ensure repeatable heating, soaking and quenching rates. This technology enables precise targeting of specified microstructure, surface characteristics, cleanliness and mechanical properties.
